A downloadable game

A roguelike monster collecting autobattler. Digimon and tamagotchi-inspired. 

Assemble your party, level up your beasts, and equip them for battle! Only the strongest will continue their journey.


FOREWARNING: 

This game is very much not finished. You will encounter:

  • Non-functional half-implementations, 
  • UI that is off-center or unintuitive, 
  • Poor optimization / loading times, 
  • Some bugs. 

I will be updating the game continuously though! There are more features, content, quality of life updates, bugfixes, and optimizations to come.


TIPS FOR PLAYING (there is no tutorial yet):

  • Recruiting enemies
    • To recruit an enemy, you must feed it enough food whose nutritional values sum to its level
      • eg. to recruit a level 5 enemy, you can feed it:
        •  one level 5 food,
        •  two level 2 foods and one level 1 food,
        • five level 1 foods,
        • etc.
    • Be careful! Make sure you have enough food to recruit before you start feeding an enemy. If you don't reach its level, your food will be spent for nothing!
  • Battling
    • Your beasts will duke it out automatically. Once the battle starts, all you can do is kick back and cheer your little guys on.
    • Your beasts will heal automatically after every battle, even when they lose. Be careful though, if you lose 4 times consecutively, your beasts will give up and you will lose the run!
  • Held items
    • Held items can be equipped through the beast summary or the bag. They don't do anything yet.
    • Held items are obtained through the lootbag event tile in the overworld
  • Consumable items
    • Obtained through the picnic event in the overworld
    • Can be fed to beasts in the bag, summary, or post-battle UIs
    • FOOD VALUES GUIDE (will be displayed in-game later)
      • apple : 3
      • hot dog: 5
      • pizza: 5
      • candy: 5

Development Roadmap:

Abilities Update pt. 1 - [RELEASED]

  • Beasts can learn abilities
  • Beast ability loadout can be edited 
  • Start game with ability selection instead of stat allocation
  • Wild enemies will know a random set of abilities
  • New abilities:
    • Hop
    • Run
    • Screech
    • Shield / bubble ? 


Abilities Update pt. 2 - May 2024

  • Status effects to be added (poison, sleep, stun, etc)
  • Evolution to be triggered when certain abilities learned
  • New abilities:

Items Update - June 2024

  • Held items actually boost your beasts, eg.
    • Reduce incoming damage by %
    • Increase critical hit chance by %
    • Heal every X seconds
    • Resistance to knockback
    • Start fight with shield
    • STR stat elevated at expense of SPD
    • etc.
  • More food items
  • More held items
  • Item and ability info panels on hover!!!!
  • Resprites for some existing items
